Free Learning Resources for Kids

1. Starfall.com – My favorite resource. We have been using it for years! Teach your children phonics and more!
2. Coloring.ws – A friend told me about this resource for printing coloring pages! There are puzzles, games and more. Love it.
3. Local Library – I can’t say enough about our local library. If you are not using yours, I suggest checking it out!
4. NickJr.com – They do have some “premium” games that you have to purchase but we don’t. There are plenty for free. They also offer coloring pages and more!
5. Lowes and Home Depot Workshops – Of course we can’t say enough about the Lowes Build and Grow and Home Depot monthly free workshops! They are a great resource for your 5-12 year old!

Family Friendly Web Sites

PBS Kids

10 Video Websites for Kids That are Safe & Fun by MakeUseOf.com. What I love about this list is that it is just sites that have videos, not necessarily games – though some have both. So if you are away and have your computer or iphone or any of those other technical gadgets, you can just get online and watch these kid friendly videos.

Here are the top 10 sites – head over to MakeUseOf.com for a more detailed review:

Let me know which ones you like – we will be checking them all out this week. Are there any other kids websites you recommend?

Toys R Us Birthday Club

Have you registered your child for the Toys R Us birthday club yet? Their coupons have improved this year, so you might want to register them!

Here’s what one of my friends received:

$3 off a $3 purchase (came in a Birthday Card)
$5/$25 purchase
Free Thomas and Friends Wooden Railway Engine
Birthday planner
You might or might not receive all of the above coupons (I’ve never gotten the Thomas coupon), but it’s worth a shot!

Also stop by Toys R Us on their birthday and they get a birthday crown and a Happy Birthday balloon!
